Networking is the future of gaming and Wide Area Game Enhanced Network (WAGE-NET) is our answer. WMS' Networked Gaming focus is on game enhancement and player enablement that will empower operators with multiple ways to dynamically change the player's experience on the casino slot floor. WMS illustrated this through the debut of the first WAGE-NET product with the launch of MONOPOLY® Big Event® which displays server enabled content centered around communal play. However, that was just a taste of the capabilities that WAGE-NET will be providing our customers, as we have over 150 WAGE-NET enabled themes currently in development to support the initial launch of Networked Gaming.
Key Features - Designed to Benefit the Casino and the Player
We've been extremely active in generating and pursuing key intellectual property to enable our system capabilities, and designed the foundation of CPU-NXT® and CPU-NXT®2 all with Networked Gaming in mind. Leveraging the technology and systems expertise from our state-of-the-art Wide Area Progressive Network (which currently operates 18 separate Wide-Area links), this new technology provides basic features such as remote configuration, software download and floor management. It also offers much more advanced Networked Game Enablement features that will revolutionize the casino floor.
Interoperability is essential in a networked environment, and WAGE-NET is designed to be "system agnostic" and will communicate with industry standard protocols (G2S – Game to System / S2S - System to System). WMS is leading the field in the adoption and implementation of GSA standard protocols. Our WAGE-NET server is fully GSA compliant, was the first GSA compliant product to be submitted to regulators and has been offered as the first system to go through GSA's G2S Certification program, designed to verify, through third-party independent laboratories, that the G2S protocol was implemented in compliance with the specification.
In addition to WAGE-NET serving as a full networked gaming solution for all Bluebird® games on a casino's floor, it also has the capabilities to communicate and interoperate as either the "master-server", interoperating with all other manufacturers' GSA compliant floor management systems, or as a "sub-server" interoperating with all other GSA compliant manufacturers' floor management systems. This gives you the the ability to choose "best in class" applications that can plug-and-play through the use of GSA standard protocols.
Preserving Your Bluebird Investment and Looking Toward the Future with Bluebird 2
Since the launch of Bluebird in 2003, all units were "WAGE-NET Ready," due to the power and flexibility of our CPU-NXT platform, and can facilitate remote configuration (changing denom, hold %, line count, volume) with a simple software change. All Bluebird units are fully upgradable to allow for all aspects of server-based gaming including asset download, peripheral download and future WAGE-NET empowered content. This preserves your investment in Bluebird.
Additionally, we have developed the state-of-the-art Bluebird 2. A fully configurable platform, building off the player-favorite Bluebird product that allows you to provide a revolutionary experience through both hardware and content. With a completely digital platform, trimline cabinet design, advanced programmable button panel, dual 22" widescreen high definition displays, and our next-generation BOSE® Waveguide speakers, all powered by the state-of-the-art CPU-NXT2 platform, Bluebird 2 promises to be the future of gaming.
